Our selection of house plans by Canadian designers are designed to meet the more extreme environmental conditions and unique requirements for construction in Canada. Canadian building code requirements have more stringent requirements than in most areas of the United States. While any design found on our website is suitable for use in Canada, most will require modifications after purchasing the plans to make them meet Canadian code requirements. The designs from our Canadian designers are ready for permits with little or no modifications needed. The introduction of new Energy Codes and Carbon Codes, as well as local zoning bylaws and Provincial Codes may require adjustments to insulation specifications and other elements of the design.
