What is a Neoclassical style house plan? It’s tempting to dive into the intricacies of the Neoclassical style as it evolved to incorporate both ancient Roman and Greek architecture, but the essence of the style—for homeowners in particular—is the austerity of its blank walls, crisp form, and classical symmetry. The grandeur implied but the name is generally found right up front with a colonnaded porch or portico, frequently topped by a shallow triangular pediment fashioned to recall a temple entrance.
